An Improvement District is designed to provide neighborhoods a method of accomplishing local improvements including paving, storm sewer, and sanitary sewer.

Types of Districts

(SID) Street Improvement District:

Consists of rebuilding the roadway to full City specification, including concrete surface, concrete curb/guttering, and storm sewerage. This type of roadway carries the longest service life and is maintained by the City’s Street Maintenance Division.

(RMD) Road Maintenance District:

Consists of an asphalt overlay (typically 3”-4” depth) over the existing roadway alignment. This is considered a maintenance improvement; it does not include curbs, gutters, or storm sewer construction.
