The Traffic Engineering Division oversees the placement and maintenance of traffic calming measures, including active devices, passive devices, preemptive tools for new developments, and retrofitting tools for existing neighborhoods. Examples of some traffic calming devices used by the City include (but are not limited to) speed humps, speed tables, raised crosswalks, and traffic circles.
